(More customer reviews)This is the best thing since sliced bread!I am on my third one.I wore out the first one after many years.The second one fell out of the refrigerator on one of those big family days when you have too food much in the refrigerator.I am absolutely thrilled to have to have this one as I had a very hard time finding it.No amount of baking soda or any other product works like this.It even defeats the smell of fresh seafood.I invested in rechargeable batteries for it and it runs for years. But it also has other modes that stay on continuously for 36 hours. We are very happy with this machine, and would buy another.

One Con is the cost. I am going to buy one for upstairs. This one I use
in the basement. We cleaned out a mold problem and this seems to be taking care of
any leftover spores and dust.

(More customer reviews)Bad enought to pay shipping and a high cost per filter.Was not a 3M filtrete or any type of 3M.It actually didn't have any name.It was more like the fuzzy pleated type that go into your furnace.This company makes custom filters, so you are getting a custom size, generic filter. Too bad they show a picture of a genuine 3M filter online, or I would not have wasted my money and time on this.If you return the filter, you have to cover the return shipping, and the handling cost is non-refundable. I guess with the high cost of shipping, and the postage to return, they expect people not to bother.Save yourself the time and disapointment.

(More customer reviews)If you own this Vornado air purifier try buying bulk roll carbon pre-filters and add them to this filter.Cut them to size and put them on the intake side of the filter on the inside of the unit.You can tape them in if you want but I don't.This trick will increase the efficiency of the unit (remove more stuff) and will make these grossly over priced filters last longer.I checked the fan motor for increased heat and there was none so this is a safe and highly recommended mod.

Pros:
* Removes odor out especially when we had Asian food in the room with this air purifier
* No more foul mold smell in the room (it moist and humid during winter)
* Operates quietly

Like to see improved in the product:
* Water tank is small and requires refill once a week (I run the air purifier on medium - 8 hrs a day x 7 days a week)

So far it is a good buy.

* Still runs great 8 hrs x 7 days a wk
* We have placed this device in a 11x15 room...still is very effective
* Knock on wood...no Allergy and cold symptoms so far.
In Redmond, WA for April 2010 was Moderate and in May 2010 has been low

(More customer reviews)I bought one of these at Walmart I think.I was fairly pleased with the black carbon like gunk it appeared to be collecting from the air but it broke down very quickly- maybe lasted two months.

When I called the company they were VERY friendly.Until I finally got to the point that I wanted to return the unit.They stayed friendly, asking for 21.95(until cost $29 new) shipping and handling.When I expressed anger, they offered to sell me several bigger and new units for a discount.

I get the impression these break quickly and often.Read the review on the link I put in and buy something else or just burn your money.

Got home pluged it in and worked GREAT.was a little noisy on the hi-speed but that was no problem "thumbs up."Left it in the living room to clean out the air.Went to take a shower and once I was finished I came back to notice that the fan had stop.~!~!!

ok checked it out.... The power was on and the ionizer was on, but the fan wasn't blowing.I pushed the low speed, Mid speed, and Hi speed button. To MY SUPRISE ..Nope it didn't work. Got in closer and notice there was a shortage burning smell. You know that smell when you plug-in the wrong adaptor cable to your printer and short the whole thing out.

But this Thing worked for a WHOLE TEN ULTRA SLAMMing Minutes.So I dont want to knock the company down but I did note that the way it was package.. Well let me put it this way... It was like The box was playing that old school Pong game with my Air purifier ~~~|.| ~~~

So maybe thats why it was defective after 10 SLLLLAMMMING minutes.But you can give it a try, and I hope and pray it works Well for you. But me personally....... I Wont ORDER This PRoduct NEEVERR AGAIN... and I hope that "never again," echos in your brain like you are in the grand canyon.
